This website is the ramblings of Edward Clark, Jr. aka The Pithole Hermit. After a career in the U.S. Coast Guard and dual degrees in Electronic and Computer Engineering at Penn State he returned Northern PA, operating a computer service company called PennSmart. But his heart was always in the forest. In 2016 he purchased land near the Pithole Ghost Town and commenced his off-grid, living in the forest.
